I have an FLM pede, and love it, check out the FLM parts for the rustler. They have aluminum a-arms, bulkhead, shock towers, everything....

If you have 2 steering turnbuckels, 2 other ones (dont kno the technical term for what they do) Losi front arms (or other a-arms w/e one your doing) you should be...

Your novak ss should go around 35mph geared properly at 16/90 how ever can go 45mph with it geared at 21/90

the 6.5 looks good, but that's not a real good motor for a basher since it has no reverse.[:o]

Update:
Im sticking eather a 8's or a basic 5300 in my pede... I also picked up the aluminum front and rear brace/wheelie bar! Pictures coming in 2 weeks.

It does look pimp, but in addition to making bigger hex's you would need to gear the internal tranny ratio down so it would be possible to run the things w/o over-gearing.

You can do it...

Im talking changing the idler out for a aluminum one, and widening it eather this way (www.inadad.com) or aluminum wide pede (www.fastlanemachine.com)

No you can not put 40's on a pede, well... you can with an addapter, but the addapter is 80$ for 4... so most people dont opt for that:D Plus they're to big for the pede...

Its strange that some one would say you shouldnt go below that... Maby they were getting at, say you have 14/90, they dont mesh to well... Maby thats what they ment?

The rusty is a racer, the pede is a basher... By racer I mean, its not on the level of any AE or Losi... So you might consider like an xxx-t or a T4 if you plan on racing.

The rustler will always be faster than the pede... ST's are always faster than MT's...

The rustler is lower than the pede, thus its less capable... its all in what you want.

I dont think you can dye black nylon, but yeah the white'ish stuff like the servo saver and gear look good all dyed up.

Those are slipper pegs... Heres what I would do:

Keep the stock slipper (if you dont like the color, go pick up some rit dye and dye it) and go down to a... 17t or maby 16t That should be about...
