RE: Getting into 1/8 scale nitro

This is the perfect setup for a beginner - Hyper 7 with OS RG and many extra parts and tires. Great starter engine with a new piston and sleeve, upgraded servos, receiver pack, tires, spare arms, 3...

RE: Sportwerks V2 .21

Don't run an OS plug in this engine - it is too short. Run a standard, medium plug like the McCoy MC-8. I like the 9mm venturi - unless you are trying to slow down or conserve fuel. This engine is...

RE: Looking for Sirio TX-18 parts

Thanks guys. It is a great engine. I just wished I would have replaced the piston and sleeve in mine before I let it sit a few years.

RE: What size engine to get

Why not bash monster trucks with the big .28, .30 engines? What fun is bashing a buggy??? They are made for tracks...with .21s in them! Its like taking a nice Subaru WRX up a mountain instead of a...

RE: thoughts on O.S RG

The standard in standard engines. Hard to kill, reliable = the best starter engine. Might be hard to find since they are discontinued.

RE: Straight choice

The Go engine is the current flavor of the month...just like STS. While they might be fine engines, do yourself a favor and look at engines that have been around and winning races for several...

RE: Sportwerks .21 Good Purchase?

I run the SW .21v2 in my hyper 8 and really like it. It is very reliable and plenty fast. I've got about a gallon through it and it gets faster each time I run it. Plenty of pinch left.

RE: Ofena HP 8 PRO, PLASTIC ISSUES

The house jump video is amazing. When the buggy landed and drove off, I couldn't believe it.

RE: Ofena HP 8 PRO, PLASTIC ISSUES

Radvave
In 1/8 racing they do what is called a bash as far as the hobby goez.
The most basic form is a jump from a small pile of dirt that has a lip a few inches from the top, depending on the...

RE: How to: Not break anything on a track day...

Clean the screws before you use the threadlock. The more threadlock, dirt and oil that is on a screw, the less effective puting more threadlock on will be. Either use a little wire brush, or better...

RE: Ofena HP 8 PRO, PLASTIC ISSUES

So you visited the OFNA web site, did all this research and still spell their name wrong? Sorry, credit gone. Go buy one, race it a year, then come back and tell us what you think.

RE: Hyper 8 or Losi or...

If you go pro instead of rtr, you'll need an engine, starter box - you really don't want a pull start if you are ever going to race. 2 standard servers, radio\receiver, 5 cell - 6v hump battery pack,...

I have a filipino friend. She is cool but doesn't do RC.
Anyway, I think your thread is great, but there is a regional racers forum where you might not get flamed.
I hope to visit Manila...

RE: high speed bogging

Could be that your clutch is messed up. I've had and seen the same symptoms where it was a clutch issue.

RE: Official Hyper 8 Thread

The OS rg .21 is a nice engine - direct fit (get the bump start version). It runs strong enough for the club level and is a good engine for beginers. You might have a tough time finding one...OS is...

I didn't win it so I'll let someone...
