Note - I did cut an inch off the exhaust extension as well so that probably helped.

Yep - Choice is good! Although I don't use a starter, haven't touched the needles in months, cleanup is one paper towel, I'm flying and their charging, and my gas can doesn't stink. ;)

The OS's don't seem to be as reliable at idle nor idle as low for extended periods (the one's I have seen) - I don't mind the extra 3.4 ounces for the ignition and not toting and charging a glow...

Yeah those are the basic spec's on the BNF 8cc P-51 as well - Plenty of power and radars over 70 mph! :)

So it's got to be spinning that 12x6 at least 12k RPM flat out. :)

Yes they are quite close - .46ci .59ci. - I do see the 8cc listed as pending on Horizons site - I am curious which is lighter and how close the performance is. They are super cool little engines!
