I'd opt for the extra servo, the weight difference will be minimal with the elimination of the extra push rods, bell cranks, mounts and larger single servo to move all that stuff and...

I believe the pitch changes from 6" inside to 8" at the tip, or the other way around.

Riddle,

Flat Black (with a touch of brown) would not be correct except inside the exhaust tubes themselves. Here are a couple of pictures of the exhaust on F51D, N 314BG (painted as Petie 2nd)....

Thanks for the alternative FABRIC covering, I couldn't think of them when I posted. Polyester dress lining fabric is another possibility as are some other types, both iron on and glue on...

The rudder is fabric covered except for the trim tab and balance tab. Use something like Koverall and dope (or paint of choice) and don't forget the rib tapes and stitching :). Fiberglass...

If you are talking about the aileron coupler/ball link set up for a single servo aileron control, the nylon coupler will and has flexed and come off the ball link in higher preformance...

Tail wheel question. On one of my P-51 3 views, it indicated that the tail wheel retracts forward (most just show the extended location). I can't find that 3 view, but it got me going...
