For servos I went with all HiTec's.
4-HS5945MG's for Ail. & Elv.
1-HS5955TG for Rud.
2-425BB's for Throt. & Choke.
All servos running at 6V.

Finished the muffler mods to the DA-50 Slimline Pitts.
The port matching took awhile to do but very worth the time.
Trimmed the cowl some more and mounted the muffler, looked real good.

Well I got the mods to the DA-50 slimline muffler done.
Still need to port match yet, but looking real nice so far.
The photo below shows the area to be removed to match the MVVS 58.

Mounted the throttle, and choke servos in a tray that was made from the one that comes with the plane.
Trimmed to fit the wing tube sleeve and glue in with epoxy.

Cut a Slimline DA-50 pitts muffler to fit, tig welding the pieces together.

David- Al @ J'Tec is working on a modified muffler to fit this plane.
once the size / shape is found then setting up the mount for diff engines should be easy.

I tried my Slimline DA50 muffler on the MVVS 58 today and it is not going to fit the cowl with out cutting.
The muffler would extend beyond the cowl about 1", only on one side.

The "grip strips", and other items, were pickup at the local hardware store.
Use for tyeing up extension cords, garden hose, ect.

Been doing little jobs on the plane here and there.
Got the Ign. Mod mounted, gas tank mounted, & Rx switch mounted.

Ign. module is mounted with cable ties to the engine dome.

Thanks for checking on mufflers, hopefully I won't have to mod a Slimline DA-50 Pitts.
Looks like enough room for one though.

Less muffler and Ign. battery, I'm ever so little tail heavy.
Once these items are in, the plane should be sopt on, + or - some shifting of the Ign. battery.

Finished installing the servos in the wings and H-stabs.
Got the radio tray glued in place, & the pin/flag switch mounted.
Mounted the H-stabs, use masking tape for laying out the hole.

Mounted the MPI double links for the Elv. and Ail. servo connections.
Used the socket head servo screws for attachment to the fuse.

Been tied up at work most of this week, got a chance today to get back on the Sukhoi.
Well the engine showed up and all the servos.
Made up the needed stand offs today at work (1 7/8" for the 58)...

No, I installed the two charge switches for two reasons.
1) for the charge jacks
2) for isolation of the batteries.

I cut the fuel tray and got a servo mount out of the deal.
Setting up some of the on board electronics.
Thinking about mounting the servos for the throttle and choke on the rear of the wing tube....

Went on to build the fuel and radio trays.
After a light sanding of all edges, and test fitting all pieces, it was time to glue.
I used med. CA for this part, and re-coated after all was dry.

Got the cowl mounted, and pics.
Used masking tape to hold the cowl in place, and drilled 4 - 1/8" holes.
The holes shoud not be more than 3/8" from the back edge of the cowl.
