RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build 2013

This is a great plane. Pardon the pun, but you will enjoy it! Mine had a Saito 120S on it with a 16 X 6 Vess Prop. I wish I still had it. The only problem I ever had was with the landing gear. I...

RE: 4*120 Build Thread

Make sure you have those weights on the cheeks attached real good. Mine vibrated really bad. Like a poker card in a hurricane. If you can fly any plane you wont have any trouble with this plane! Mine...

Flew mine with a YS 120 before putting the DLE 30 on it. Great flyer even with the extra weight! you'll love it.

RE: Hostetler Taylorcraft BC-12D

Red,
By chance did you talk about wing construction? I assume that its a two piece wing. Anything you discussed you would like to share?
Thanks

RE: advice on good flying cub

1/t scale sig laser cut easy to build and flies well on a 70 4 stroke. Just build the tail light.

RE: GP Extra 300S 60 Build 2010

I would go with the DLE 20 if I were you. I think the 26 would be to heavy, not to mention the fact that you would have to hack up the cowl.
Good Luck

RE: My GP 60 size Extra 300 Kit + DLE 20!!!!

RE: 4*120 Build Thread

I'll have to search for better pictures, but in the wing I cut some 1/8" balsa to fit diagonallly in the wing in front of the spar. That adds a lot of strength. The wing will not flex! I have heard...

RE: 4*120 Build Thread

Here is a pic of the changes I made. !st I reinforced the wing with some sheet balsa. It keeps the wing from twisting in flight. I also added counter balances to the tail feathers.

I flew my first one with a YS 120 and a 16x6-10 prop and it was great. My new one has a DLE 30 on it. Even better!!!
Maybe you could tell us what you are thinking of using. I like your tag line too.
