RE: *New Bravata 30cc Gasser*

What do you mean "Too bad they don't have those floats any more..."?

Their not going to produce the floats for this plane?

RE: *New Bravata 30cc Gasser*

Guys,
I was in Denver yesterday, so I stopped by Aeroworks to take a look at the Bravata prototype. This is a very good looking plane!
Typical Aeroworks quality. Quick build construction. Wings...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

I have found that you get what you pay for most of the time. This holds true for almost everything in life, although there are a few exceptions.
A $500 plane will be much better quality than a...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

I just heard from an Aeroworks tech this morning. They are still finalizing all the details and expect to have the plane on their website in the next couple of weeks, including the price.
We're...

RE: *New Bravata 30cc Gasser*

This plane looks very nice. I've been wishing Aeroworks would come out with a float plane ever since I moved into a house on a lake this year.
Any estimate on when it will be available? Need...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

Some people have been in contact with Sig and have been told it's coming. There's also an ad on page 102 of the current (Dec) Model Aviation magazine which confirms a new version with flaps.

RE: Sig Rascal 110

Thanks mogman,
The DLE 30 is lighter, and maybe more powerful than the G26EI? I'm just wondering if the DLE 30 would fit in the cowl well. I thought maybe someone would have tried it on the Rascal...

RE: Sig Rascal 110

Looks like Sig has a new version of the Rascal 110 due out soon. I'm looking for a good, fun float plane.
Does anyone know if the DLE 30 engine would be a good engine choice for this plane?

RE: World Models 1/3 Super Cub

I do want to look at all my options as far as a big plane on floats goes, so I appreciate any comparisons.
The price of the WM Cub is good, but price isn't my only consideration. I do think I might...

RE: World Models 1/3 Super Cub

Hi Jerry,
I didn't see any mention of floats on Hemple's website, but I'll look into it.

Thanks, Jim

RE: World Models 1/3 Super Cub

I'm hoping to make it a little easier than this. I might use the Balsa USA floats. If anyone knows of a better float to use, please let me know.

Thanks, Jim

RE: World Models 1/3 Super Cub

How hard is it to install floats on this plane?
Would someone please share what's involved with installing floats?

Thanks, Jim

RE: Float Plane

Just came across this video of the World Models Cub on floats. Looks like it flys good. I might have to look into that one some more.

That one looks good, but it doesn't look like it is set up for floats as an option.

RE: Float Plane

Thanks for the replies.
So far I'm thinking maybe a big Cub or Beaver.
There's not a whole lot to choose from though. I'd like an ARF and I'd like the float set up to be designed into the plane....

RE: new boomerang torus

Plus it sounds like the wings are built up, but painted (no more covering); and the fuse and wing center section are molded in one piece.
Sounds like it's worth the extra money to me.
I just wish...
