Well that changes things a bit. :) We used a 23 inch long antenna on our 75 Mhz equipment. So again, be with in a couple inches of this and you are fine. Same type and guage wire as listed above.

You want multi-stranded wire around 24-26aug. Length for FM 72 Mhz is anywhere between 38-42 inches. (not that critical on length, just be with in this range).
