RE: New Great Planes Revolver

Does anyone switch to 1/4 20 nylon bolts when doing the LG mods? That way the bolts will just break off instead of the gear or fuse..... I have done this on several planes with success.

RE: Another Homelite 30cc

Just thought I would follow up on this. I have around a dozen or so flights on this plane and the silicone extensions are still in new condition!

Awesome choihjin ! Sorry about the plane but at least you saved the motor. All you have to do now is build another and you will be in the air again! Enjoy.

RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....

Gas will eat up a glo bung. Sullivan makes a bung compatible with either gas or glo. That's what I use. I also use neoprene tubing. Seems ok so far.

RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....

Yep it sure is. It was downsized a bit for the 25cc but I bet this homey would have pulled the full size around just fine. Chris posted down sized plans in the forum eons ago.

RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....

Remember this 25cc homey from the homey thread? I finally maidened it. It ran really well. Initially I set it at 3 turns both high and low. Didn't seem rich at all, idles like a champ and transition...

RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....

I have a bunch of gas planes but I do have one electric glider and I really enjoy the laid back flying I get with the plane. I have recently learned a lot about the electric realm and think that...

RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....

So let me get this straight... you don't want to rely on glo oil for your gas engine. 'Glo oil' is used due to the fact that the glo fuel is methanol (alcohol). BUT alcohol premix by Redline IS ok?...

RE: Another Homelite 30cc

Boy I can't tell ya all the people I know that are in similar situations. I guess we just don't realize and/or appreciate it till we get older and in the same situations..... best of luck with that....

RE: Another Homelite 30cc

Yea the magneto is already done. I used a bandsaw to rough cut it. Then a bolt and nut through the center, chucked in drill press, and use a file to get it round again. Then on the prop balancer and...

RE: Another Homelite 30cc

I have run it... its on gas/glo. Only ran for a few minutes but it seemed to work well. Time will tell I guess. They fit snugly into the holes and the rtv was not really needed but I tried it anyway....

RE: Another Homelite 30cc

Here's an idea for a plane. Its an Ultra Spad Stick down sized to 25cc size with a hopped up Homey 25cc on it. Check out the muffler. Its a gutted stock housing with silicone extension tubes that...

Pioneer 66cc

I just picked up a couple saws. One is a Pioneer Farmsaw from 1981. From my research it turns out to be a 66cc which is perfect for my 1/3 Laser! Seems to have good compression but haven't checked...

RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....

I will try the butterfly adjustment but if it doesn't work it's not a deal breaker. I do use an electric starter so that should work out fine. I am going to be looking for a larger chainsaw motor in...

RE: GAS/GLOW HOW TO....

Hi all
I just ran a 25cc Homey on gas/glo. I ran it on gas/oil and then opened both H & L one turn. The thing runs perfectly! I didn't see any smoke though. Also, I tried the pinch test for...

I haven't started the build yet but am already thinking about covering and design. I know what you mean. I guess you should just pick one, get it done and fly it. If you want to change it, change it....
