Valley View RC Yak Pro

Anybody have experience with the Yak Pro? Just wondering if it would be worth getting or better to look for something else. It reminds me of the old OMP Yak profiles from ten years ago...

It's not the size or weight of the plane that I worry about. I'm comfortable with experienced flyers with big planes, -it's not their first flight, they know what they are doing. A newbie is...

I found clear panels for replacing older fiberglass panels at a Menards (like home depot). Weren't expensive either. Old panels were worn around the fastners, tried sealing around them with silicon...

You might want to add a few dryer sheets or moth balls to the planes just to be safe. Mice can make things a real mess if you give them a chance.

After a bad luck, my carb and cover plate need replacing on my .52 fs. Looking on tower hobbies website, I can find the carb body but not the coverplate. Is there another engine that shares the...

RE: Back after 5 yrs away

The ys140 was sold as an option by QQ with this plane. I had an os 160 on mine, and had to put the battery pack on the engine box in order to balance. If you have to do this, a a123 pack might be a...

RE: Spectrum DX8, Love it? Hate it? What?

It will bend- if you push the sticks all the way up or down they'll bend/flex slightly. I assume this is without much pressure. Like I said, this is what I have read in a review.

RE: Spectrum DX8, Love it? Hate it? What?

If you fly helicopters, the dx8 has a 5point throttle curve. A radio at this level (features/price) should have a 7 point curve. I read a review that said the gimbles would flex when moved up and...

RE: Landing Gear Fairing attachment help

My fairings had a strip of wood infront and behind the wire, about a half inch wide, the full length along the wire. I put a landing gear strap towards the top and bottom, makes it easy to remove.

RE: OMP YAK 47

When I put mine together, I put a sullivan tail gear on it, thinking it needed it. When the steering wire broke I put the original wire it was suppose to have on, and I think it works better.

RE: OS Max 60 FP Not Running

My 60 fp is a sweet engine. Gave me trouble only once when I replaced the carb and didn't have the airbleed screw set right. Other club members have noted how impressed with its performance -power...

RE: OMP YAK 47

Follow the directions, and it will turn out good. The only concern I had was the teatherite landing gear, they are abit spongy when landing and prop strikes if the landing isn't somewhat smooth.

RE: Rimfire 42-50-800 substitute?

I used a eflight power 32 in mine after getting frustrated at the backorder getting pushed back and back....  I've only made a few flights, on a 3S 2200 pack and it does alright for pattern, but I...

RE: Flying on a frozen lake.

Flying in the center of the lake is great, even in 20+ mph winds, since the wind is less turbulent. Down lines are quick and up lines take forever though. Doesn't matter which way the wind is,...

RE: Female Figures for Cockpit

Beware of the blonde bomber, you're plane will crash for sure. Go for a redhead -a blonde from hell.

RE: GP T-Craft

The front half of the head does stick out, the back half I kept enough clearence. It could have been cut tighter, but I've had cowled engines that needed to breathe a little more than what I thought...

RE: GP T-Craft

I was wondering if anyone had put it on floats. Lengthwise being a short plane, I was curious how it would handle water.

RE: Are all great planes kits this BAD?

My T-craft kit was good (just need to cover it). I've built about 6-7 GP kits, and all were good. I'd like to see what a bad one looks like, make me feel really fortunate...

RE: Funtana X100

I didn't like how loose the metal clevises felt when threaded on the rod, felt like a lot of play -way too much for me. I used the dubro clevis also, makes things feel smoother.

RE: engine for Funtana 100X

If you look in the 3D forum, the funtana 100 thread, people have put an os 160 on it, but I think they moved the firewall back.
Will it pull it in half -if you don't respectfully use throttle...
