In 07 i built a Fiesler FI256 & to get the gear legs more scale looking I made elliptical section Fairings out of shim brass, soldered tabs on the wire legs to locate the fairings & filled them...

It's easy, diffenteral expansion is the answer :: Put the whole thing in the freezer overnite then heat the metal quickley to 200f or so. metal plastic or metal wood will shear themselves apart...

to a 1/8 wheel collar crimp the hot wire into the lug, that will hold...

I don't smoke ,never have , but it has never bothered me. If you health Nazi's don't allow smoking why do you allow anything but electric planes ( the exhaust from fuel burning is bad for you too)...

Not just the H9 pawnee but generally what happened to .40 size airplanes that would actually fly well on a.40 or .46 engine ? this one in paticular begs for a .61 or .75 2 stroke.

As near as I can remember when I first ran glow engines 60 years ago fuel was about $2 A PINT or $16 a gallon. Fuel seems like a good deal to me --back then a .29 was a normal size & size does matter...

I had one just opposite : tail heavy slo poke I extended the nose 1" I suggest U look at shortening the nose an inch or two..
it will make a much better setup.

It won't work I miked a 2-56 rod & it's .072 but the threads are .081 OD . The threads are what is called roll theaded & instead of cutting the threads it squishes them up from the basic wire...

I am trying to get my optic 6 setup to use flaperons: using Channels 1 & 6 -flaperons on,crow & camber off
when I put a degree value into flap travel the aleirons reflex approx half that amount...
