I've changed to LIPO's now and everything seems OK. I don't think you can get NICAD's in the UK anymore, correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks guys I think you have answered the question. The engines did come with two cell lipo's ( sorry Bomerang) and I changed them because I needed nose weight. I've used the wrong battery by the...

Yes they are sub c's. I have cycled them, perhaps I should do it again.?
