The wing span is 88 inches. The wings come off as a pair and includes a wing jig to hold them in place so that you can mount them as pairs.
I will take the $500. We live in Brooksville.

RE: What Aircraft are you installing your DLE20

My DLE20 is currently doing the job in a Great Planes Hawk P-6E. Very nice match. The ARF has been re-introduced by Great Plane for late Jan delivery. At a 'mere' $479.00 !!!

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

Thanks for the input on throttle linearity "fixes".

A1PCFIXER, I'll try your curve next.

I'll be using the DLE20 in my next scale project, a Dynaflite Fly Baby (with a "few" mods).

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

I've been following this for a bit and thanks to all for the info. I've flown my DLE20 in a Great Planes Curtiss Hawk P-6E long enough to report. IT'S GREAT !! Currently using an APC 16/8. Flies a...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

Exactly. HP is simply torques times rpm and a constant. Match the rpm to your airplane and have a ball.

Also, everyone keep in mind that static thrust is just that, static. Unless you can fly...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

It's not hate, just data.

I ran a lot of props through an electric dyno. My figure of merit was thrust per watt at specific rpm values. While done primarily to design an electric SPA pattern...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

There's also a huge difference between different make props with the same pitch/diameter. I personally am not a fan of MA props. I just tried it since the prototype I'm flying (Hawk P-6E ARF) used a...

RE: NEW DLE 20cc Gasser! (Data & Links 1st Post)

Charlie,
I didn't take thrust measurements, but mine got 8000 rpm on the MA16/8/3. I get about 8800 on an APC 16/8/2.

RE: P-6E Curtis hawk (build thread)

Thanks, I've converted mine to gas stopper and I'm breaking in a DLE-20. So far looks good. I was flying it with an OS160 (had one), but it was way too much power. The DLE-20 is turning a Zinger...

RE: P-6E Curtis hawk (build thread)

Can anyone tell me if the fuel tank and stopper in the "kit" are OK to use with gasoline fuel. I know the lines need to be replaced, but the stopper looks just like the gas ones from DuBro, just a...

RE: KAOS AND RELATED PLANES AND INFO

Guys,

There are two classes of SPA Pattern airplanes. The standard class is anything before 1/1/76. The Antique class is before 1/1/67. The Atlanta contest that I was referring to is for Antique...

RE: KAOS AND RELATED PLANES AND INFO

That was why I asked the question. I had hoped that, since the plans were published in February 1970, the plane may have been flying early enough to qualify. My research on Kimbro's Deception lead to...

RE: KAOS AND RELATED PLANES AND INFO

This question may have been answered in the thread already, but I didn't see it.

The original Kaos was published in the Feb 1970 issue of RCM, so it was flying in the late 60's.

My...

RE: P-6E Curtis hawk (build thread)

This may have already been covered, but I'm considering using an Evolution 1.2 2 stroke mounted upright. Thoughts?

RE: Best prop for 61fx on Chipmunk. need help

I fly with the SPA and have been experimenting with the OS61FX in a 7 1/4 lb Deception on 15% Cool Power fuel turning between 10,500 (Xoar) and 11,000 (APC). The thrust numbers are 9.4 (APC) and 9.6...
