I put a DLE 35ra in mine, after running an RCG 26. Had to add a firewall (no beam mounting for these!). Adding a little over1 LB to your bird is pretty insignificant overall. She still lands as well...

Here's what mine looks like with the 150. A 1.80 would be sweet but would probably need some mods to the flimsy mounts. The 1.60 should fit with no problem and give you plenty of zip.

I have an old Saito 150fs in mine. At my altitude (5380) the 109 could use more thump (a 180fs would probably be perfect) but flys just fine. I'd think you'd be in a simlar situation at sea level...

I made the "upper" flap stationary...so flaps is flaps!:) This plane certainly doesn't need spoilers to land at a reasonably low speed. With inner and outer flaps deployed it needs about 4...
