RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

The screw on the Quick thumb screws are fairly short and doesn't grab alot of thread on the mounting post. I think the screws that came with your mounting kit are a little longer. I took the screws...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

MX is correct, epoxy the front ones in the holes in front of the battery tray and the others in the std. location. Here are some thumb screws, I think they come 2 to a pack.

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

The rod lengths in the manual will get you in the ball park. It's normal to have to make some adjustments once you power it up to get the swash level and centered. If you are shooting for -11/+11 or...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

The 30 and 50 Raptor use almost all of the same parts. The only cost difference is in building it. The crash will cost about the same. The feather shaft or spindle is what connects the 2 blade grips...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

The usual stuff to stock up on is blades, booms, boom supports, landing gear, feather shaft, main shaft and fly bars. I think I order that stuff without even needing it just because I know I'll need...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

A average Titan crash with carbon blades is going to be about $150-$200, with woodies about $100. A really good crash could get you to the $300 range but that would be alot of damage.

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

Break in is over rated, maybe set it a couple clicks rich and go fly.

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

I would recommend the Stainless steel tail hub, part #pv0499, it's only like 5 or 6 bucks. If the plastic washout arms and links still only use the push pin I would replace that with a aluminum arm...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

You can use Hitec HS635 servos and will be fine. it's the same servo as the 6635 just not digital. They are about 30 bucks. I've used them in a 50 and had no problems.

Gy401 and 9254 is great on the tail. I use Hitec HS6635 on the rest for my 50s.

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

A DX7 will work fine with a Raptor or anything else. I wouldn't use the servos that come with it for anything in a nitro heli. If you had to you could use one on the throttle. I think someone sells a...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

Helimedic, The paint job looks good man! Now hurry up and get that thing in the air. Congrats, it's a good looking heli.

Tex, That Fromeco set up is nice, I use their stuff on giant scale planks...

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

Yes, Thunder Tiger makes a great heli and they fly very well with stock parts, right out the box. Most people don't perfer the TT engine, the engines of choice are the YS50 and the OS 50 hyper....

RE: Raptor 50 Titan Discussion

Others might disagree but 1800 to 1850 is the most I would recommend. Nice flying by the way, good job!
