RE: Duratrax Nitro Evader ST or Associated RC10GT

Take a GT and an Evader and sit them side by side....now take the bodies off and look. I did this with my budies Evader(that has something wrong with it every time he runs it) and the truck just...

RE: pull start help

Loosen your plug just a hair then leave your igniter on for about 15 seconds then give 10 prime pulls with the exhaust pluged with your finger and then try to start it.

Heads up to anyone running MC59 plugs

I picked up some McCoy MC59 plugs the other week at the LHS and they were defective. I kept burning them left and right, 3 within half a quart. I don't know why I didn't notice it sooner but the...

RE: Duratrax Nitro Evader ST or Associated RC10GT

The Evader seems to be cheaply made compared to the GT. It seems to be that the overall fit and finish on it is lacking. It seems like it was just thrown together with little thought towards parts...

RE: pull start help

If it's really hard, be careful not to bend your connecting rod.

RE: Stock RC10GT servo

Wohoo...thanks a lot man :D

I tried putting them back on the other day and it would either not work at all or it would just keep spinning in one direction when the transmitter was on(with the...

Stock RC10GT servo

Would anyone be so kind as to take the bottom off of their steering servo and take a pic of the wires soldered there? I need a pic of the S1903 to see what order the wires are soldered on. Mine...

RE: What Shock oil?

20wt is pretty light for use in shocks. If you have to use it though, make sure it's synthetic.

RE: Tuned pipe for evader

If you plan to race, the exhaust outlet on the pipe must be at a 90 degree angle to the pipe itself. The outlet on that pipe is set at an angle.

RE: What Shock oil?

Don't use automotive oil in your shocks. especially if it's the stuff for a wet-clutch engine. It'll ruin the o-rings in your shocks.

Buy some Trinity or Associated oil, those are the best 2...

RE: Duratrax Nitro Evader ST or Associated RC10GT

I'm going with the RC10GT here. There's a reason why so many people have them and there's so many hop-ups available for them.

Sure the truck has been around for a while, but it has been given...

Nitro ST endurance race?

Anyone ever hear of an endurance race for nitro ST's? Like a 24 hours at Le Mans but scaled for 1/10th scale, so 2.4 hours or something. I'd be interested in something like that.

EDIT: I...

RE: NEW RC10GT PROTOTYPE PHOTOS!!!!!

Is that so? Is that why Jared Tebo won the 2004 ROAR Gas Nationals with a RC10GT?

Is ROAR promoted by the magazines? I thought so. Don't talk trash if you have no idea what you're talking...

RE: dynamite .12spd . . . racing engine???

Subtracting spur gear teeth will take away from your bottom end and give you a higher top speed. If you need more low-end, try going a few teeth higher on the spur.

You could also try to loosen...

RE: Whats the best Nitro Truck, and engine combo?

Since this is the stadium truck forum, I'll hijack this thread and push it into the 1/10 ST direction. :)

Best truck/engine combo for bashing would probably be a RC10GT with an O.S. engine.

RE: Official RC10GT Thread

I would immagine that the RPM arms would break before the chassis bends. It might even break the arm mounts, but I doubt that the chassis would bend first.

RE: Ok let me know the damages

That doesn't look like just a scratch to me. It looks like the sleeve is cracked(atleast it looks that way in the first pic).

RE: Ok let me know the damages

The only places you really have to worry about dirt are the intake, cumbustion chamber and the crank case. You shouldn't have to worry about anything getting between the sleeve and piston. The dirt...

RE: Just ran my first RC10Gt for the first time! (with an HPI .12RSS) Impressive!

All you have to do to get the stock RTR to wheelie is tighten the slipper a bit. It's fun to do just messing around but it makes it handle like crap on a track.
