RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

Yeah, I don't understand people not catching on to this excellent flying airframe. Then again people are most apt to buy something that's scale looking that doesn't fly as good as a plane that isn't...

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

I based my decision on buying the .46 sized Reactor on how well my little one flew. Correct! It flies better than the smaller version. I don't mind the one piece wing design, just wasn't happy with...

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

Keeping it down to about 7-8 min. Gives me some go around's if needed. She's a real 3D animal now for sure. Probably could go up to 5000mah packs and get about 10+min. but want to keep weight down....

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

Thought it was time to upgrade power system on Reactor. After much searching, I decided to give the Neu 1509 2.5D geared 6.7 to 1. a try. Swings a 17 x 10 prop @ 1050 watts on 5s2p, but gives about...

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

On the 4200 packs I'm getting about 7-8 min. with some juice still left for a go around or two. Putting back about 3000mah.

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

Maybe some skis instead of wheels?;) Don't blame you for waiting the cold out. Kind of hard to move your thumbs when you can't feel them. Hope you get a warm spell soon, you'll enjoy this plane a...

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

Holy Avalanches Batman! This plane can tumble! If you don't check out this plane you're doing yourself a great disservice. Goes where you point it, pattern like. Click the rates to high and start...

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

I'm sure the stock hardware and hinges would work well, but I used 4-40 carbon pushords, titanium rod ends, ball links, Robart hinges and control horns. I've got some friends who will put this model...

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

Got some work done amidst the holiday mayhem. Mounting Rimfire 42-60-480 is a snap with the medium motor mount from Tower. More pics tommorrow, Reactor almost done and ready for testing!

Looks like about 10-1/2" to center of mount. Plenty of room to swing an 18" prop.

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

If you build per instructions they are not removeable. I'm sure some of our more clever modelers will come up with a 2 piece wing. It fits fine in my truck without removing wings but a smaller...

RE: Great Planes Reactor GP/EP!!

Your wish has been granted! The wings attach with 2 bolts underneath each wing thru to the fuse. I was hoping the same thing after building the Reactor Jr. Not a big problem for the small one but you...
