RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Even LiPos loose some juice after storage for a few days. I thought I read that they weren't suppose to do that, but my E-Power 1300 MAH 3S does after being in the garage for a few days.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

My original 4-1 got taken out by my (Walkera)roll servo awhile back. Was real glitchy and the next thing I new it stopped working. The motor stalled in the servo and took out my receiver totally. ...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Avla, I just set my mesh by Eye. I loosen my screws and pull the motor away from the gear then gradually slide it back until I have just a little play and I can't quite see through the mesh and it...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I have clipped both lenth and chord and the chord cut had the best results. Mind you clippin only works well with a 3S as I have found. You need a little more throttle but the headspeed increase...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

gmrviper, About the seperates question. I have a seperates set-up with two ESCs (GWS li-480 for the main and LI-300 for the tail) Overkill yes but I stall my tail quite often in the grass. I also...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Go Lipo, you won't be dissappointed. I have 3S and it flies awesome. Still crashes pretty good too. LOL. I'm all seperates now though. I have a friend who has a stock #4 with an 3S 1300 MAH and it...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

What does doesn't fly mean? What I'm saying is be more specific like blades run up to speed but no lift off or plug in and no lights or something. I can assure you that these little helos are not...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Sorry, I should have said capacitors. Their sole purpose is to filter all the noise generated by the electric motor. If it glitches when the motors aren't running then your may have to re-route...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I read somewhere(heli-Hobby I think) that the Blades CX 4-in-1 is good up to a 3s LiPo. You just have to get the motor plugs right as they are marked for a coax helo. They say it will work and the...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

The glitches could be caused by many things. Check your antenna wire and make sure it is not wrapped too much around any carbon fiber parts. I would also consider check the Caps on the main. A bad...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Great mod, I tried it outside yesterday with a gusty calm-7 MPH wind and it was a little hairy but controllable. I probably won't be flying outside in the wind as it was just a little too jumpy. ...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Measure Approx 34 MM from the leading edge at the root(fat end) of the blade and trim evenly straight out toward the tip. You won't go to the tip. Your cut will begin on the wide end and cut...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

I once again made the plunge on a mod that I wasn't sure would work and it did. I clipped the blades chord wise and the thing has rediculous head speed and power. I'm not sure what the max RPM is...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

The gain is how sensitive the gyro will be. Too little gain and it wil cycle. Too much (better for learning) and the taill will run a little warmer. I still run my GWS PG-03 at about 80% gain...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Looking into moving up to brushless main motor. Anyone have a good combination. My #4 too has been modded and flies pretty well except for I'm always wanting excess power. The 3S with the 370...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Swap the motor wires. Unsolder them at the motor and switch them and it should turn the other way. Is it used. If not it may have just been wired wrong.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Yes I do. I didn't with the main, but with the tail I hook uo a D cell for about 2 hrs and I guess it worked because this tail motor is still going strong. No wet run in, just the D cell.

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Try bending some pitch out of the mains. I clipped mine 1 cm and that helped allot and increased head speed. I now use E-Flite tail motor and they hold up well. I have since changed to a 3S LiPo...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

If baldes is what you meant, Century, GWS, Colco, Esky FP and other copies work well. at least for the mains. The tails may be slightly different and not compatible. SOme mains have 2 holes where...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

My #4 is about a year old and I have A gws gyro, and ESCs. My servos and motors are E-Flite, They seem to last longer. I have also used a GWS PHA-01 3-in-1. There receivers work well also. [8D]

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

Little-acorn, the Futaba GY-240 will fit. You need a platform for it though. They are like $10-15 dollars on-line. At least I have seen a #4 with one on it. I believe Century makes a small one as...

RE: Walkera #4 Fixed Pitch Helicopter Forum

For those 3S LiPo questions out there. They work great and have gobs of power. The problem is the unreliability of the Walkera electronics. Some last long where others do not. I have had my #4...
