Good info on the truck. Thanks! It definitely seems to be pretty tough.

For tape, I prefer the Scotch brand blue, or green, tape. However, I almost exclusively use Bob Dively's liquid mask. It is the shiznit!

Also, I do 3-5 light coats of paint, drying them well...

That is called Mamba/Lipo induced meltdown. Too much power and speed for the DF03 to handle!

If you do go through with a conversion, you would use 1/10 touring car wheels with 12mm hexes. The offset you choose would depend on the width of body you pick (190 or 200mm).

The pin striping is done with liquid mask and a steady hand with a very sharp Xacto knife.

Well, I've done some reading around and many recommend going with a MC8 (warm) instead of a MC9 (cold) plug. So, I'm going to pick up some tonight and try this out instead.

Woohoo! It has a standard, slotted motor mount! That's kept me away from a lot of the Tamiya vehicles.
