DX18 can I use a PPM encoder? Connecting to Pixhawk flight control.

I want to use my DX18 on my pixhawk for my multicopter. Sadly the code to support beyond a DX8 through the DSM port has not be written yet for the pixhawk. Can I use a PPM encoder on the AR 9020...

Ok got the new head, rebound, still having alot of trouble going forwards. I can fly in reverse swiftly, but even with the trim set full forward, it still slowly walks backwards...

thanks, I am waiting for a new upper rotor head, broke when letting my father in law use the heli, he doesnt get the idea of cutting the throttle when crashing...
