Somebody once gave me a built up but uncovered Bridi Trainer .60 fuselage. Its still sitting in the basement. Its made out of some pretty heavy balsa. You could use that fuselage as a baseball bat.

It looks like you're using a separate servo for each aileron. That means you can mix in spoiler control. Just flip the switch on final. That should bring your Pacer down quicker.

My first RC plane was Ace pulse proportional equipment installed in one of those supermarket foam gliders. I winched the glider in the air by running. That was enough for about a 20 second flight.

That's one thing the rocket ships have going for them. They're immune to wind. Most of my planes are only fun in dead calm conditions. Granted they're mostly parkflyers.
