I did think about that, but there is a chance that this would just light the first motor, cos after the igniter has been used the circuit is broken, and if the timing is not exact it will only launch...

Very tru, cud b a bit dangerous, the motors get quite volatile, and can be set off with too much friction/heat. BUt that does seem the best way to go about things.

Both should work quite well, i went for having the engine push itself out tha back. The problem with directing the ejection charge out the bottom of the plane is that it is quite a large force, so...
