RE: Honey Bee FP

Hope your trip (and flying) was good!

Latest update:
Got a little time last weekend to poke around.
The good news is that I didn't see your problem...

RE: Honey Bee FP

been slammed at work, so I haven't had my usual free time. I was able to, at least, put the gyro on the scope. Doesn't look like there's any issue there. Things should be better this weekend.

RE: Honey Bee FP

First pass, Ijust had enough time to look over both boards and get a feel for where everything was. Some things similar to the Falcon 40, other things much different. First pass, everything...

RE: Honey Bee FP

Holy cow, that's crazy! Let's see:

I don't think is a problem with the crystals (or antenna) since the other channels seem to work fine.
You said both of your 4in1 do the same thing? Any high...

RE: Honey Bee FP

Weird, I've never neard that one... It's always turning in the same direction? Any other wires running close to the tail wires? I'd love to take a look at it (I love a challange!). I'll PM ya.

RE: Honey Bee FP

That doesn't sound right. Is it the tail or gyro. The tail responds to stick input, but the gyro doesn't adjust the tail to hold it? If you hold the bird (you can take off the main blades), spin it...

RE: Honey Bee FP

Yep, that's when it mostly happens (and if your running a 3S lipo). It's usually just the main motor. I've got replacement MOSFETs for anyone who does happen to fry it (I've got 2 4in1s sitting on...

RE: Honey Bee FP

To add to what Peter said, the Xtreme 380 is a nice motor (I´m breaking one in now for my Falcon 40). And the other nice part about it is that the brushes are replaceable. So, from now on, you...

RE: Honey Bee FP

My $0.02 on tail boom length.

The whole purpose for the tail motor is to counter the torque produced by the main rotor. Torque is equal to Force * distance. With a stronger motor you can bring...

RE: Honey Bee FP

I'm not familiar with the v2 electronics, but I have fixed a few v1 4in1, and they where pretty robust, it was usually just a burned out the MOSFET that controlled the tail rotor.

As Tink said,...

RE: Honey Bee FP

I figured it was just a matter of time before you did away with the stock stuff. You'll love the superskids.
Though, you mave have to/want to also redesign your battery tray! :)

RE: Honey Bee FP

I was going to pull the electronics off my HBFP and put it on my Falcon (so I can use my own TX), but with this, I may just have to get my HB back into running order.

It looks like you'd have to...

RE: Honey Bee FP

Very Nice! I never understood why they glue the tail in (especially since the Falcon uses a set screw to hold it in place).

If ya ain't learnin', you ain't livin! :D

It depends on what you where referring to. Flybar paddles out farther, faster response, weights in close, faster response.
