The only person who would recomend a champion plug is an engine builder think about it ;),do a search and all will be revealed,theyre junk.NGK is the ones to use as has been said.

The black wire been cut off isnt a problem but if theres bare wire showing and touching the casing then that will stop your motor ;).

What Glenn is trying to say is you must use a Resistor plug on a gas boat or you will get interfearance ;).
