RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Yeah, I was not impressed with the .18 durability. I broke mine in the same way I do all my engines (which have all lasted for a long time) and within 10 tanks the compression was terrible. I could...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

In an effort to save money in my early days of nitro, I took it upon myself to learn a pull-start in and out and how to rebuild one. Taking the time to do this has helped a lot, and saved me a lot of...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

I loved the power of my .18 but mine lasted 10 tanks before all compression was gone. I broke it in the same way I broke in all my other engines, and I ran it rich the whole time (my general rule is...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

I ran mine in snow with Pro-Line Mashers (not the 2000's) turned backwards and it flat out HAULED.

It will run in the snow great as long as you have the right setup. You can't go out in the...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

The DTX is a really good engine if it would freaking last. I loved mine, until after about 10 tanks. At that point some of the nickel plating had actually worn off and the piston and sleeve were...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

I am VERY surprised by this little things offroad capabilities. I figured this would only be able to tackle a little dirt, but I was surprised when I plopped it down in some grass it and just took...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

I got my 18MT from Ultimate Hobbies for $139.95 shipped (a VERY good deal). It includes everything except for 8 AA batteries for the transmitter.

It is a tough truck, but it WILL test you. It...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

I sure like the little thing. I took it for its first long bashing session outside today to see how top end is and to test some durability. I had it crawling through the flower garden, flying across...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Well, I know this is a Nitro Evader thread, but I told I would put some pics up of the 18MT since I got rid of the N-Evader, essentially for one of these.

This booger plops out of the box...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Sounds awesome, fga.

Thanks for the site dicko, lol, but through my intense research, I found that one. It is REALLY helpful and cleared up the unknowns that made me original a bit scared to buy...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Nothin much going on here, man. The N-Evader's gone due to string of bad luck, and I just can't afford it anymore, so I hopped on the smale scale bandwagon with an AE RC18MT. I still like talkin to...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

I think a stadium truck looks great with practically any kind of body on it. I went with a XXX-NT body and painted it just a plain Pactra Metallic Blue. Most ST body's have so many curves and bulges,...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

I fully agree with you, dicko. I had more fun with my N-Evader when it had a mild .15 in it than I did with the stock .18. It still was PLENTY fast (top speed was actually higher than .18 with same...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Well, the O.S. .18 is a great basher, but if you were to race, a smaller engine would be great. It's much easier to control up out of the corners. I was putting some laps down at my little homemade...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Looks like you got a steal there, man. Great deal.

I don't think you will find anything that has the sheer torque the .18 has right off the bottom. My NEO .16 is pitiful on bottom in comparison...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Sounds good, evaderstman. I'll be sure to show pics of the 18T on here just for show just once, this is the Nitro Evader ST thread afterall. A pic or two couldn't hurt though. :D

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Yeah, looks like a good deal. I like the N-Evader, but since I run with an electric truck, and have someone going to buy one of these with me, I don't need a nitro, really. The 18T is a fun ride. I...

RE: Official Nitro Evader ST Thread

Haha, I already had someone offer me a decent price to end the auction now, so if he is still interested, it's pretty much gone.;)
