IMHO
Keep the reduction drive and fly it the way it was designed.........I only pulled out the reduction drive as the old Q42 was long on hours and unreliable and I did not want another dead stick...

Right on Bob !

You guys seem to over power everthing :), watch a real P51 fly and the manoeuvres are all high energy and the aircraft performing these at < 250 knts.
