RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

Thought I'd post a couple of pics of the widow in action. Those who have not flown theirs yet or anyone thinking of obtaining one will be pleasantly surprised at the quality, ease of assembly, and...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

I like to keep things simple. I used spring loaded hinges from Sonic Tronics and added an elastic band between the two doors. When the gear leg retracts it pulls the doors closed and keeps them...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

Tomas,
That's what I was trying to do. Two pics and it got lost. I'll try one at a time and go from there.

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

Any chance in moving Texas closer to Pa?
I've been trying to upload pics. It keeps timing out. First time I've had this problem. I'll get some as soon as the problem gets worked out.

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

I made my firstflight with my widow this past weekend, and I was very pleased with the performance. She flew rock steady with no bad habits at all. Landings were almost trainer like. She looks...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

I finished the rear radar operators compartment. It's together, painted and installed. I'll up some pics shortly. I'm starting on the main cockpit/gunners compartment shortly and I'll document the...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

To all,
My progress has been steady at best. Making all the extensions is a pain but needed. The gear are in and the doors are hinged except for the nose doors. They will go in once the scale...

RE: VQ P-61 CONTRUCTION

I see on ebay there's a P-61 for sale. But the sellers says it has a 83" wing span. Is that a typo or did VQ make a shorter wing span widow?
