Guys, I know this is an old thread, but I thought I'd try here first since the "For Sale" section is now worthless. Cleaning out my garage, I found a new in the box cowl for the TF Staggerwing, if...

FB,
I'm not sure of the dimensions of the EVO 33 as they might be a little different from the 35GT (turned into the 40GT a little later on). It LOOKS about the same, but the older 35's didn't have...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

Paul,
The 2 3/4" Tru-Turn AT-6 spinner that Jim mentioned is the one I use on my Stagg. They slotted it for my Xoar 20x8 prop. Fits fine and looks good too. I've been flying mine with it since...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

I've been flying my Staggerwing since it first came out with an Evolution 35 gasser and it's been nothing but fantastic. Love the way it flies, and it still gets comments every time I fly it. Had...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

Nick,
I agree with Paul, mine flies "heavy" also. I prefer to keep the speed up and in the landings too as she does slow down quickly. The flaps work well, with very little elevator coupling...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

Kochj,
You are right, it IS a heavy plane, but I fly mine with a Evolution 35GT gasser and it's really quite nice with that engine. It does weigh a full pound more than my AeroWorks P-51 and that...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

Don't feel to bad about yours weighing 20+ lbs, mine, like GaGeeBee's came in at just under 22lbs!!! But then I usually build a little heavier than most people, adding epoxy and gussets where I feel...

Finally weighed mine tonight. Weighs 21.65 lbs. dry with Evo .35, Robart retracts, Li batteries on ignition and receiver. Not as bad as I thought, but heavier than TF says.

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

GaGeeBees is right, the plane is heavy just stock. I noticed that when putting it together and I even used Fromeco Li batteries to try to save a little weight. He was also right saying the nice...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

FINALLY got mine into the air!! Maidened it a couple of weeks ago, but was very tail heavy (balance wasn't very accurate). Re-balanced, added about 14-15oz of nose weight and she flew beautifully. ...

No, Paul, no reason at all and you are probably correct as to the placement. I was at a airport recently and there was a Stearman sitting on the ramp and it had it's N numbers placed on the wing...

RE: Top Flite Staggerwing

Copterviews,
I too am interested in this combo. The Staggerwing is on it's way to my, and I also was looking at the 26GT, I think the 35 might be too much. If possible, when you get yours, could...
