If the servo is inside the boat (but below the waterline), say, up in the bow area, then it should...

As for me, I don't bother with a watertight box of any kind.

I either use MTroniks ESC's (or some of the LRP/Team Associated) that are waterproof from the factory, or waterproof non-waterproofed...
