RE: Hyperion Yak 54 - 85 inch, (Electric 4000Watt setup) - Build thread

HiRe5pect
This (very very old) thread was about the Hyperion Yak. Can't help you out with the Flymodel(?) Yak you mention....
My only advice is to stick with the known brands with proven models.

RE: ZDZ 80 pitts vs can - how loud?

How about a flexheader and a pipe in one side of the fuse above the gear, exiting on the side of the fuse. Would that be possible? And would it leave enought room for the fueltank etc?

RE: ZDZ 80 pitts vs can - how loud?

Thanks Dick

I saw your pics before, no offence, but they are the reason I wanted to go with an incowl muffler! :D No, seriously, I looks like a nice job, but the thought of having the can...

ZDZ 80 pitts vs can - how loud?

I am considering a Hangar 9 Extra 330 since I can get my hands on one really cheap, but it is almost impossible to put a can on it.

How loud is a ZDZ 80 Super with a pitts muffler?

RE: Extreme Flight 88" Yak - Build and Fly

I don't think it's too heavy, Maudib, I think this will be good up to 20 lbs for the wingloading - just think the DA-50 is too small. Like you did too? ;):D

So what are the forecasts like?...

Maudib, have you flow it?

Or is it just for show? I see grass on the pics, so snow is no excuse :)

RE: WHAT 50CC YAK 54?

Jonathan, do you already have an engine for it? If you already have a 50cc, I would go with the QQ 86.

Most that build the EF currently are using a 60cc. If you do not have an engine, I would go...

RE: new extreme flight rc 88" yak too heavy??

RE: new extreme flight rc 88" yak too heavy??

I don't think it looks too heavy at all on the videos as far as wingloading is concerned. As rcblimppro correctly wrote, wingloading is by far the only parameter. And according to one of the other...

RE: Hyperion Yak 54 - 85 inch, (Electric 4000Watt setup) - Build thread
