sad thing was it got mid aired at the very next meet.

I loved that plane and I always wanted to do a retract version of the 3 or what's next :)

that pic is when I was owner of the proto, ( me flying) it had a YS 140 DZ, I loved doing low gear up passes, that was taken during our districts way back.

Chuck I was running about a 1/4 degree positive on the stabs and about 3/4 degree on the wings.... the stabs will be about a turn positive from zero on the adjusters.

yea she's under the table. She is okay, I'm not neglecting her, I've been doing a little winter upkeep and I'll be flying her... I've got a 140L in her and she is my back up and local club field...

the cool thing is I can do an electric conversion and make weight, it would be close but the plane is super light. the wing panels are 10 oz complete ready to cover. and the complete painted fuse is...

Pete, we've been using the BVM hatch latches for a few years. You should layup some carbon cloth on the turtle deck former where the pins go and/or add some reenforcement wood behind the former to...

Pete,

the magic is in the wood, the two vf3 electrics that Mike built and I am painting are 2 lbs 2 oz - that's the complete fuse, rudder, canopy and chin with landing gear. It's all in the wood...

Here's a few pics from today. I got the V2 out in the sun, finished sanded the wings to 320. I am going to start the covering in thenext couple days. She has a really nice shinny gloss :)
