RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

What makes you say that? The aero ace is regarded as one of the best, fun, planes out there for the price it's at. Also a great plane for a true beginner. Just because it's in walmart does not make...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

with hydros it's very different. You want the motor close to the water line. Just ask C/F he knows all there is to about why these things are stable, unstable, fly well, don't fly well. The threads...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

You've got that right. If you don't trust your electronics you definitally won't have fun with this hobby. Nothing worse than spending all this time building a boat/plane and then have it go down...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

aflipz and I seem to have the same issues with receivers. I tend to be very unlucky lol.

The Electron 6 has been extremely solid for an entire season on a different transmitter. It was only...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

I've not had a chance to use the receiver yet. It just came in the mail today. I am sick and tired of the GWS receivers so I decided to give this one a try on my bipe. I found tons more positive...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

I'm about to put one of the Hitec Micro 05S in my E-Flite ultimate. I researched the receiver quite a bit before I bought it. I found very few people with problems. Definitally more people with...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

It's definitally not a nice flying machine from what I saw in that video. I wouldn't spend that much money on one. It only took me 5 hours to put together my MHO and that only cost me $60

There sure is. No kit that I know of.

Hepdog over on RC Groups made one. It's amazing looking and flies great. His videos are posted here (look for hepdog's posts)

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

Nope mines still weighing in at 15.55oz flight ready. Kinda sucks but hey the video proves that it flies. Once I covered up the holes I made and gave it some right thrust it flew quite well. 3d...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

The prolite is actually much better than that. From TP's website for the TP Prolite 1320mAh 11.1v lipo
Rating: 13C (17A) continuous, 20C (27A) burst

On my setup the Purple Peril pulls about 15...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

C/f you got that right. CoolRunnings all the way. While people are complaining about their Phoenix 10 speed controllers heating up my A-12 is always cool to the touch. I love the simple programming...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

I have heard of some people having trouble with the LS PP motors with the Phoenix 10. Getting it dialed in can be challenging. I bought the CoolRunnings A-12 Speed Controller and that thing is...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

Hey matt, Not a bad idea. I had not thought of doing that. I think I have enough spares to do it. It already looks like crap. Can't make it look any worse right lol :)

Yea it's H20 yellow. They...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

You must have managed to get it on thin. The h20 cans I had were just chucking latex on the boat.

14oz is quite heavy. Mine came in at 15.55oz as I was walking out the door. I managed to carve...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

Yeah it all comes back to the fact that I did a very poor job building and painting it. It was more the paint than the build that did me in. The right thrust helped a ton. It didn't need nearly as...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

Maiden was a complete success. Got 2 flights out of it today. It was WAY over weight. AUW before maiden was 15.45oz with the TP1320. I decided to try to lighten it up a bit. The pictures are from...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

I just finished my build and got it painted. I don't have any pictures of the bottom that really show it to well. The plywood lines up with the rear of the sponson with the pointy end on the inside....

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

I'm working on a Red's Miss Hanger One right now. What an easy build. Took about 4 evenings to put together. I'm just waiting on the power system to get here now. I have everything else. I've not...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

Have you tried switching the wires, running it up in reverse, and then flipping the wires back to normal? With these cheaper brushless outrunners I've had issues like this before. My last BP-21 I got...

RE: Hydro-Foam by Michael Connally

I have the following items that I could use on the plane that are sitting around. Do you think this setup would work? I'm worried about the weight of the motor and the capabilities of the...
