RE: New Great Planes Revolver

Actually, if you look to page 15 in the instruction manual, you will see that they are 2 3/4 inch in diameter.
The wheel diameter is measured from the outer most part of the wheel. My 2 3/4 inch...

RE: FLITON EDGE 540 FREESTYLE they did it again

Maidened her today and she flew great. The best knife-edge I have ever flown and harriers were very easy. I only flew her twice, but I will get her out next weekend for sure. Great plane.

RE: FLITON EDGE 540 FREESTYLE they did it again

Thanks for the suggestion on the carb springs, I'll get some on my way to the field.
I replaced all of the control horns with Du-Bros because they felt so flimsy. Hopefully
mine will fly as good...

RE: FLITON EDGE 540 FREESTYLE they did it again

Right now it is just behind the carbon wing tube, I might need to move it forward a little bit, but I'm going to try it here first. I'd say the CG is at about 4.5" behind the leading edge. Anyone...

RE: Saito 125 anybody? Finnaly coming are way

Ramon, any luck on figuring out the thread size on the exhaust manifold. I'm planning on putting the 125 in a World Models
60 size Extra. I usually use the Saito flex pipes because you don't need...

RE: WORLD MODELS EXTRA 330L 60

Flyboy, thanks for the response. I have a 65" wingspan 60 size World Models Extra that should weigh about 8 lbs. when complete. I think you probably have the 28% model of the same plane. The 3W 55...

RE: WORLD MODELS EXTRA 330L 60

I just picked mine up last week. World Models make some of the highest quality ARF's that I have seen.
You don't need to upgrade the hardware and the pre-drilled holes for the controls horns are...

RE: Ultra stick 40/ Saito 82

Use a 14x6 APC on the Saito 82, it's hooked up with that combo.

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I like to use screws to hold the canopy in place also. It makes it accessible if you need to make any changes.

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Rfaria, you will find the U-Can-Do's will take off in a few feet and land very easily also. They float right in at low speed. Ask around, all of the people I know with U-Can-Do's are very happy...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Rfaria, I've had both the Funtana 40 and the Twist and I personally like the way the Twist flies better. The Funtana 40 is one of the best looking planes around, but it likes to fall out of loops at...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Spaceclam, it seems you have opened Pandora's box. This pic has been shown before, but I thought I should bring it back. While the Twist might not be a true 3D plane, with the proper set-up you can...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Sachin, what are you flying now? I wouldn't suggest this plane as a first plane. We try to get our freinds in the Houston area to start out with a Ultra-Stick 40 as a first plane. They are very...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Lefty, I just checked my CG. 4 3/4" from the leading edge at the fuse. I had about 1/3 of a tank of fuel so it might actually be a little further back. Another thing to look for when it comes to...

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

I run 30% heli fuel thru my Saito 72. It smokes good and gives you a little more power. Lefty, I didn't check the CG tonight, I will check it in the next couple of days for you.

RE: Hangar 9 Twist 3D

Here is a pic of mine hovering. It will also flat-spin inverted very well. I run a Saito 72 with a 13x6 prop and it has plenty of power.
