RE: Who makes the best starter to handle a 1.6 cu.in eng.?

RE: Super tiger 61

Sorry, I wasn't aware we were talking about a British engine.[&:] They were originally produced in Italy, but are now being produced in China. I would think they would be using metric thread at this...

RE: What size plane for an OS 10?

http://www.hobbyhangar.com/test/kits.htm

These guys have a number of kits for the smaller size engines. The Piper Supercruiser kit might be right up your alley for just slow cruising around with...

Allen bolts , Blind nuts & things if this nature are much easier had & much cheaper at any decent hardware store. Not the type of thing I buy online.

RE: 4 Star or SSE ?

Get the SSE. You've already had the 4* & got 12 good flights out of her. Now 12 flights doesn't sound like a lot but you can learn a lot in 12 flights. for instance, what ever cuased the demise of...

RE: EDGE 540T ARF

Yes going about it the right way which it sounds like you intend to do, taking it nice & easy at low rates for a good while you can probably pull it off. I actually used a Cap 232 as my number 2...

RE: Does OS 46 AX not too much of an overpower for Sig midstar 40?

Jolly, I just checked Tower & the weights are all pretty close. OS .46AX W/Muffler = 17.2oz, Tower .46Pro W/Muffler = 16.9oz, & the TT Pro .46 W/Muffler = 17.01oz W/Muffler so they are all 3 right...

RE: EDGE 540T ARF

The mounting of the engine shouldn't present any problems, just follow the directions carefully so you end up with the proper downward right thrust. Usually allready built into the firewall with most...

RE: Magnum XLS 46---good engine or waste of money?

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I find that even the cheapest engines on the market will run well when properly broke in & tuned by an experienced flyer. I've heard more people bad mouth my Tower...

RE: What is the most popular Trainer/Engine/Radio?

The best Trainer on the market is the one that gets you soloed & comes home in one piece ready to fly again tomorrow. For me that was a NexStar, & a Tower Trainer. Both still alive & well today. The...

I like the LA Racer too. It's a sharp looking little plane for the money & as already stated, it's small & light enough that you don't need a very big or high dollar engine for it. I have 2 WM...
