RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

flyprob,

Thanks for the battery info. I'll be taking you up on that offer. Glad to hear you got the MUS flying. I had mine out over the weekend. The weather was perfect here yesterday. Flew the...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Its probably because the E props have so much more mass. I've been flyimg the last two months on a commonsense r/c 2100 15 C battery. It's really flat! I've gotta invest in something better, cause...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I've fixed my XT a bunch of times, too. If you look at the pix, you'll see the latest repair. The fuse cracked completely in half just in front of the cockpit. I reinforced it with some lite ply on...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I just loosen up the two mounting posts and stick a shim under the low side. Anyting from a piece of paper to a strip of thin plastic will work to get it level and square. If you need to adjust the...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I hate to ask the obvious, but are you balancing the plane upside down? There's a huge difference. A low wing plane like the MPXT has to be balanced inverted. Even inverted, I still had to stick on...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Darryl,

Don't be afraid to experiment with props, within reason off course. I fly every Eprop and Slowflyer APC has available on mine. I run a 450 -890kv on my MPXT. It never overheats.
It...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Welcome to the forum! Don't feel bad, everybody gets ignored once in a while. Post a good crash pic and everyone replies.

The MPXT is a great plane. I've reinforced my gear mount with birch,...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

So I got this Common Sense RC 2100 from LHS. The thing is huge- there's a space between all three cells, I guess for cooling. And it's a little heavy. But I can fly my MPXT and MUS for almost 12...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I had to shim my horizontal stab to get it in line. Just a slight shim at the fuse makes a huge difference at the wing tip. You can usaully get the distant between the wing tips and the tips of the...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Would somebody please point me to a discussion on props (written for park flyers) or would someone like to start one? I understand pitch and diameter, but on my MPXT and MUS, I've flown everything...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

fliprob17,

I know it sounds obvious but- do you have the same exact servos on each side of the wing? Are you sure they're pulling the same? Also, have you tried to laterally balance your plane?...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Reading your post leads me to ask if you have used the Great Planes Incidence Measuring Device? Its very difficult for me to visually see if the ailerons on my mini ultra stick are "centered". Would...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I'd take the wing off of the plane first. Get out the heat gun. Then, have someone hold one panel flat on a table. Carefully start to twist the wing to remove the warp. The covering will start to...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Here's what I use on my parkflyers. Just a rubberband and a servo arm keep the wire pulled safely up and out of trouble.

The aileron hinges on the MPXT are very stiff. Make sure your servos are...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Hard to believe that those prop strikes are damaging your bearings. I've nosed in my MUS a bunch of times- hard- and my 450 is fine. I bet I've broken a half dozen props on that plane. I know it...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

PVC is way too flimsy, just starts to wave around at about 30 feet. If the wind doesn't knock it down, I'm thinking about the slingshot-fishing line method or maybe I'll call a tree service. But...

Well, don't do this...

Flying friday, sunny, little breezy, great 20 minute flight. Did a stall turn to bring around for landing into the wind. Stupid move. The wind caught it and it was behind...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

And don't forget that if you don't get that battery unplug right away, it'll drain down to the point it will be ruined! I learned that one the hard way, too! Brand new lipo wasted!

One other...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

The MP is actually easier to fly than the MUS. The MUS isn't exactly a high wing trainer, it can be a handful! The MP is a more stable and forgiving plane. It stalls slower and glides much further...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Captain John,

Haven't had a chance to fly the FuntanaX yet, but the quality is excelent- better than the original yellow mini funtana. The original was a bit twitchy, which the reviews say has...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Gents,

Thanks for the quick reply on my climbing problem. I must say I just love the new little Pulse. I put a 450 on mine, its plenty fast and climbs with authority. I fly my MUS with a 450...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Gents,

Need advice. My MUS is flying high alpha- trying to climb- won't fly level. CG is right on. Could it be that ailerons are set wrong? I have a hard time figuring out where neutral is on...
