RE: 33% Pilot-RC Yak and DLE111

You can get it cheaper than that if you ask Tony to sell you an aluminum version vice a CF version. Email him and tell him what you want. Also, the DLE should go very well with a 33% plane. But like...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

Sadly, I lost my Yak. I took off without my sunglasses, and asked my friend to fly the plane so I can grab them from my truck. When he said he had the plane I walked away but for some reason, I...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

Actually, I had some Kavans on the plane. I tossed the included gear right away. That stuff was useless for a plane this size. I've reconnected everything and plan on flying again tomorrow. I'll post...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

Did the maiden today. It was extremely exciting. But not in a good way! First let me say the BME 102 I purchased used from A guy on RCU ran flawlessly. Which is why I still have my Yak. The engine...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

Thats a damn shame. Hard to believe they are paid to deliver. You'd tink with the number of people receiving damaged goods, that the service was free. Damn shame.

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

I finally finished mine. Well, almost. I just have to baffle the cowl and CG the plane. Will most likely maiden on Wed. I also have to weigh it. I'm hoping it will be around 23-24lbs. The BME 102 is...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

I know the balance taps keep the cells balanced. I was just given the wrong info. I was told I couldn't charge the 123's with the power leads. I had my LHS make an EC3 to Deans to charge. I'm good to...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

My batteries have the power leads with EC3 connectors and Thunder power balance taps. I guess I should have ordered a different balance tap. As it stands, I guess I'll have to make a deans/EC3 plug...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

Right now I'm miffed. I have a new Hyperion charger that is able to charge A123'S, but the charger wont charge through the balance tap. I get a battery not connected error. Don't the 123's have to be...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

Aaxis, did you use the soft switch that came with your 9100? Or did you somehow install different ones for each battery?

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

Well, I finally picked up an engine for this Yak. I purchased a BME 102 W/ a Mejzlik prop (26X10) and spinner for 800.00 bucks from a fella here on the site. I hope to receive it Mon or Tue....

RE: 29% Katana-S ARF-Aeroworks!!!

I haven't flown it with a 46, but I can tell you it will barely fly with that engine. Your plane will be at least 17 lbs when finished. Nothing less than a 50cc I'd say.

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

Someone used Giant Aeromaster wheel pants (Geat Planes) on this Yak. They are a perfect match. They also allow you to use the wider Kavan wheels if you are so inclined. Last I saw they were out of...

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

Yes, the engine comes with a muffler and the ignition. I almost traded my Sukhoi for the Soucy. But I didn't want a smaller plane. I'm going to put this combo on Buy and Sell, and at Flying G-ants....

RE: Great Planes Sukhoi SU-31

How much was the guy going to sell it for? I have one that I'm reluctant to build because I want to finish an IMAC plane. "Need cash"

I'm willing to sell mine NIB. I also have a Brillelli 46gt...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

The 30% Yak looks like a RichModel. Is that correct? If so, how do you like it? I'm planning on importing the 30% Yak and Extra 330. Also the 100cc Yak and Extra260. The 30% planes will probably go...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

1. Idle too fast.

2. Nose heavy.

3. Not off the throttle soon enough.

It has to be one or more of the above. I watched a guy at my field try to land his Aeroworks 120 size Yak two days...

RE: Lanier 94" Yak help

To those with a DL 100 on the business end of your Yak; what lenght was the standoffs. I know it's in the thread, but it's a lot of trouble to look.........because I'm lazy.[sm=72_72.gif]

Thanks for the vid. That DL pulls that plane like a kite! I finally started working on mine again. Going to try and stick with it. Problem is I just picked up a NIB Great Planes 25% Sukhoi 31 for...
