RE: As usual ama behind times

Toolman,

You raise an interesting topic, though I do disagree with your title (my guess is that you were trying to hook a live one). As a point of reference in how long it can take an idea,...

RE: What is your view on restaurant tipping?

I will usually Tip about 25% for good service unless it is a restaurant or bar that I know I will or do frequent. At these places I will TIP from 30-50% depending on the check - the lower the check...

RE: I Volunteer With My Club. Yes/No

I volunteer for our club. I have been President for 6 years and have been 're-elected' for my 7th term. I am not complaining about it, but I have been unsuccessful in trying to get some other folks...

RE: Reversal of Travel with 9CAS

I have the 148DF PCM on Channel 44 in the plane.

I will make a copy of the model onto another location and if I ever have the problem again see if I can figure out what changed.

I am glad...

Reversal of Travel with 9CAS

Hello All,

Yesterday when I switched on my 9CAS and my 4*40 I noted that the throttle, aileron and elevator servos had reversed travel from the last time I used the radio (the previous Sunday)....

RE: Tower Trainer 40 victim of the "one more time" bug!

KC,

One thing that I never ever, ever do is to tease the airplane gods. Saying 'one more flight' is a sure way to anger them. I also go the way of saying " A couple more flights then I am...

RE: What Does An EVP Do Exactly (#2)

Hoss,

Please stop the condescending attitude towards those who disagree with you. I live in the world and I recognize what is right and what is not. Once again you have avoided an answer to a...

RE: What Does An EVP Do Exactly (#2)

Toolman,

That might be true but that is no excuse for profanity of any form in this forum. Sometime if one is frustrated it is best to leave things unsaid for awhile and revisit it later on....

RE: RC field etiquette? Help!

SD,

The one that we always try to do at our club, especially when the flight line is buzzing is to loudly announce your intention to either take off or land. If someone sees someone taking off...

RE: What Does An EVP Do Exactly (#2)

Hoss,

Why do you need to preface you comment with the acronym 'BFD". I suspect most here know what it stands for and I do not see the need for profanity - even in it's abbreviated format.

RE: Post Flight Cleanup

My experience with cleaning planes tells me that the most important part of getting a nice clean plane is the rag that you use. I find that a simple cotton rag is the best. I usually wipe the plane...

RE: What Does A Executive Vice President Do Exactly?

I did not say bow to Frank - at least I did not see it in my post. If you do not think that having an event that is getting press coverage about RC flying is good for the AMA and RC flying in...

RE: What Does A Executive Vice President Do Exactly?

Troll - No way.

I can stand up for Murco1. He asked a simple question about a elected position in OUR organization and was jumped on not only by the candidate for the position but by a bunch...

Brushless motor not running - just beeping

If you have a problem with a electric motor that will not arm itself and beeps continuously this story might help.

I have recently decided that I wanted to try my hand at a larger electric...

RE: Discussion of My Response to Greg Hahn's recent "The Inside Loop" column

Combat and Busted,

You guys are sensitive!!

Combat - No, I do not think that we should stop talking about problems that are real and verifiable. I don't know how you got that from my post....

RE: Discussion of My Response to Greg Hahn's recent "The Inside Loop" column

I had a chance to reread the Greg Hahn article this morning and I do not see what the uproar is about. In the title the terms 'Web Crawler' and 'Bottom Feeders' were used. I suspected that he had...

How do you know that? If that were true then there would be no repeat members from the PPP in the future. They(the AMA) are asking for volunteers to help with the program. I am the...

VA let me try. It is not an analogy but...

The purpose of the program is to obtain new members for the AMA and to give a person a fairly decent chance of becoming a successful flier.

With...

I think that the Park Flier Program is a great NEW idea. I am not too worried about the fact that they are paying a reduced membership for reduced benefits. Anything that can bring new...

RE: ALERT! Issue with "Air Alert"

I had the exact same issue with an Air Alert about 4 years ago. I removed it from my plane and have never used another one since that time. I guess we got the only 2 bad ones that were sold!![:o]
