Hey David, the Ryan kit I just got has a clear piece of plastic for the shield, and a template to cut it out. I am sure it could be made larger if you wanted it to be....

So at this point, that Ryan is on e-bay for $268 (w/shipping). I guess the $220 I just paid for mine and Vincent's $225 doesn't sound so bad now. Looks like at least 5 people watched this Build...

Thanks for the info Vincent. While I am nowhere near your level of scale detail (a sport-modeler for 15 years), I think the RYAN (which I just sent a check off for) will be my first real scale...

I have to believe it is no small task getting the wheel/pants assemblies togetther, I think I would have done the same just to avoid any damage to the paint on re-assembly.....lots easier to tape up...
