Yes...with symmetrical flap covers you will need to drive each flap servo from a separate channel, or use a signal reverser in one of the servo leads.

I'm not sure what you think is "amiss"? My Mustang weighed 10.5 lbs with a Valley View 20cc gas engine. The CG was 5 5/8" back just as shown in the manual. The plane flew great!
