It looks fine, there just flat tips now and not up swept. My first stick kit was a Carl Goldberg Eagle 63 that I built and covered at age 12.
Sold it, and am here 25 years later, self taught flyer...

I got up Way early because the wind don't start till it sees me putting the J 3 in the back of the truck :D.
Happy I did.
Put her on the lawn,very bumpy,11-8 prop, left stick advanced little up...

Shes ready to go! I fixed the wing tips and made them flat.
I could not have asked for a better oooops.
I have been jerking around with an EP trainer 4 channel foamie...

I only have the one Futaba charger that that does the RX and TX.

I have a 3 channel cub that I converted to electric.
It had rounded wing tips, 48 inch. Had an ooops and the tips broke off clean.
I sanded the end spars and covered them, now its a 46 span....

Waited for the rain and wind to stop and found a new field .
Put rudder on right stick,Checked everything, advanced throttle.
Up she went to 20 feet and tried right rudder, right rudder, right...

Ha ! Thats funny.
Just charged it over night.
Looks like I an getting a new RX batt. Don`t ever want that feeling again ! Not worth it.

RX battery slowed after 3 minutes of working the sticks.

Motor cutting out.

Fired up the Rappy 50 after a fly bar fix. Had about 30 flights on her.
Started right up, warmed her up ,idled fine.
Spooled her up and went into hover.
10 seconds in and 10 feet up she cut out...

Thats funny i was at the range yesterday,worked up a load for a 44 carbine 12.5 grns of tight group. 2-3 inch groups at 100.
That cutter is neat, does it work by heat ?

Well if I lived in the High Hills of the desert I would fire up one of these nitro ****`s thats hanging in my basement and be back tomorrow. never flew one but tried.

Ordered a great planes adjustable mount.
Gonna chop the front clean and start fresh.
I`ll give switching sticks a shot, not a bad idea for 3 channel birds.

Oh! schould I just chop off what they had in my original picture of the motor mount and go directly to the fire wall ?
Or do I have to get a stand off mount.
I have some aluminum stock around...
