Why does Futaba always use an odd size cell in their battery packs in their transmitters? ie the 8/12fg and the 14sg.

Good question, Malcolm. I will personally stick with my 8FGS. Ihave no need of telemetry or servo slow functionally.
And I will stay with Fasst any day over S-fhss.

821's are all I use. I run them on A123's (fully charged they can reach 7.2 volts, the same as a five cell NIMH pack, no regulatr required). Enjoy.

Is everyone sure of the factory C.G. I have had reports here that it shoud be 3.5 inches instead of 41/8 as in the manual.

I have been flyin JR for over 30+ years. I had the SD10G for about 3 months. I just could not get used to 3 things.

1. It was too thick.
2. It was too slick (afraid I would drop it.)...
