I never fly planes without the cowling on.

If you don't want to put holes then it's a pain, often the tune is different with and without the cowl on.

Velcro wrap will hold down A123s and similar weight things without any issue. I do my fair share of beating on planes and have never had it come loose. Fuel tubing would be fine as well... just...

NIce pics. Might want to switch to velcro from the ignition and battery. With the extra vibration in a gas engine you would be surprised how zip ties can cut through things.

I highly recommend you look at the video of Tank flying his Slick on a pipe and tell me it looks too heavy. It flies as light as a feather and he loves it to death. I am hoping to get my hands on it...
