Yes both wheels will work with the 2.2 badlands,

Any 2.2 wheel and tire combo will go together,

The hpi 3087 are the same wheel that came stock on my xs ss kit.

I ran Carson pin spike 2.2 inch tires which are the same tire that comes on the tamiya Blackfoot and monster beetle,

I have now changed them to thunder tiger ssk rims and tyres,

Changed my wheels tires once again,

Was running stock xs ss rims with Carson 2.2 v tread spikes,

These made a massive difference in grip compared to the rubbish stock tires,

You haven't even removed the grub screws on each drivecup,

Remove the grub screws and then the worn cups will come off the transmission

My xs cups don't even look used yet and being the ss it's has cvd's at the wheels,

Yea the 80a esc will fit in the space,

but is as tall as the roll bar/carry handle leaving it very exposed if you do any bashing.

Was running a toro 3900kv on 2s in my flux xs ss,

I was pleased with the performance but the motor got hot and would start to cut power back due to heat issues,

Don't do as I did,

ordered a toro 80a esc to find it won't fit in the very tight space allocated for the esc on the xs,

Most 60a esc fit without issues though,

Have yet to run mine as...

No wonder there are so many esc issues with the rtr setup,
