Dennis,
Respectfully, I must ask what the purpose of your post might be. This thread has been about helping and sharing with each other how to build this fine aircraft. Mine flys great. If you were...

No.

I have a Pterodactyl 36cc in my H9 Tiggie and it flys it nicely. Wings are still attached. I rarely go above 1/2 throttle unless I want to go vertical with it or hover it. Be aware that the...

RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat

The issue with the Dle rear carb engines is that the carb will need to be recessed into the firewall about 1" to get the required 135mm to the backplate. Also the rear mufflers on the DLE 35 may not...

RE: KMP F-7F Tigercat

I recently started my F7F and decided to put CRRC gas engines from Maxford USA. It looks like the side carb version will be a good fit.

RE: 1/5 Fokker Drl's

ARUP,
Thanks for posting your progress. I recently bought one of these that had been re-covered by it's previous owner. I hope to get it fitted out soon.

RE: Bendix Special by EcomRC

Hi Pope,

The width of the firewall is 77mm. The length firewall to backplate is 115mm. I had to recess the carb into the firewall to obtain the proper distance so be sure to reinforce the...

RE: Bendix Special by EcomRC

I finally got a chance to fly the Bendix last weekend after initial test flights. I'm happy to report that the RCGF 15cc gas engine powers the airframe nicely at just a shade under 6lbs. I've got it...

RE: Bendix Special by EcomRC

I got to test fly the Bendix today with good success! The engine is still tight and needs more break-in but this seems to be a good combo power wise. I'm going to get a few more flights before I add...

RE: Bendix Special by EcomRC

The RCGF 15cc gas engine fit pretty well. I had to go with a small box muffler from JTec. Ignition is inside the fuse.
I weighed in at just under 6lbs so I think I'm set. Needs a spinner and pilot.

RE: Bendix Special by EcomRC

Respectully, I must say that while there are some similarities, I don't think those planes look alike at all. Sorry, but the Bendix is much better aesthetically. Anyway, I got my muffler worked out!...

RE: H9 1/4 Scale Tiger Moth

Well it should at least make some noise... :D The evo looks like a nice compact install especially if you already have the engine.

RE: Hangar 9 20cc Tiger Moth Build

I'm on the list to get one as well so a build thread would be great. It sure is a good looking moth.

RE: Bendix Special by EcomRC

I was able to do a balance mock up and the 5.5 oz a123 battery seems to balance the plane when placed just behind the cockpit.
So far I'm at 5lbs less wheels, pants, prop and spinner and muffler....

RE: Bendix Special by EcomRC

Well I’ve got the RCGF 15cc gas engine installed on the airframe. I made 40mm/1.575†standoffs and this puts the carb about 10mm/.394†inside the firewall. As expected it is nose heavy but...

Kinvenflyer,

Well, the build is on the bench now and so far so good. I'm mounting all the things that can't be moved and I will shift the the rest to see what weight and balance will emerge...

DB,
Nice job of it and congrats on a successful day at the field! Looking at the flying video, I see that it is well powered with the 30cc so it looks like a good combination of equipment. Thanks...
