Check your mesh, it shoulnt bind and be hard to turn but shouldnt be very loose to where you can feel the play of the gears. Buy some thread lock and loosen your slipper 1/8th turn and you should be...

Don't go big-block, its too much motor for that small of a truck. I did with my s-maxx years ago with the dynamite conversion kit and it was always sitting because i didn't want to run for fear of it...

Tune until there is a thick plume of blue smoke and then lean both high and low needles 1/8th turn at a time until it pops up. The front end should be popping up, when i had my 2.5 i could pop it up...

Don't get a t-maxx, they suck. I had a s-maxx and then a t-maxx and they both constantly needed attention. Then i got a savage 25 which i loved but got rid of due to the cost of buying nitro n stuff....
