The original one comes with the silver one installed.

As for the easily broken steering knuckle, suspension and hubs you can replace em with alminium ones that hpi makes or you can try the GPM...

i'm currently using a black spring with the 18SS motor that comes with the kit. I believe you should use the black one also since your running a .18 engine and it'll take a while to adjust just so...
