oh yea, you didnt say if that power supply is rectified ( makes the a/c into d/c ), if its not , you cant, you could even get hurt. i wouldnt use it.

id be super careful (probably wouldnt use it) becuase if it goes up to 50 volts, the accuracy of your adjustments would be compromised..it would be too easy to run it a little too hot. it would be...

the minimum size you can take that comm down to is .270, do you have a way to measure it?
