I think it's a natural taper that occurs because the wingtip narrows and the arc of the aileron therefore recedes a little bit.

Ouch! I did the same thing with my first Sig Kadet back in about 1985! I still have the parts to "rebuild" someday.... but the engine is not going to ever turn again.

I finished glassing and priming this week.

Now I have a few last tasks before color coat:

1. draw the panel lines
2. lay down the chart tape
3. more primer
4. wet sand
5. pull the chart...

Received my cockpit kit from Ed at BuyAero.com and have been painting and making knobs from pins all week!

I'm pretty pleased with the results so far.

There's a few more steps before that, but yes. The last primer coat will be fully opaque. It will get a wet sanding with 400 grit, and then I'll paint it with rustoleum aluminum. And then...
