1. You really wouldn't want a 2 speed on the hurricane.
2. The setup on there for stock is pretty good.

RE: "OFFICIAL" Redcat Racing 1/8th BUGGY thread (not truck thread)

Yes keeping on the throttle is good but dont forget to let off before hitting the ground. You will strip out gears sooner if you hit the ground with throttle on.. make sense?

RE: "OFFICIAL" Redcat Racing 1/8th BUGGY thread (not truck thread)

Is your take off sluggish? If so lean out the lsn some. When are you shooting your temp? Just after ripping it around or putt putting around? If its after a decent speed, richen up the hsn some.

RE: "OFFICIAL" Redcat Racing 1/8th BUGGY thread (not truck thread)

They might have good prices but did you look at shipping? 35.00 for shipping on a starter box.... 10.00 shipping on a glow plug ignitor.. .. Maybe thats my problem. Only charging 2-4.00 shipping...

Take in to consideration, that when adjustments are made, you need to run the car for a bit until they take affect. You will get there. Its just time.

RE: "OFFICIAL" Redcat Racing 1/8th BUGGY thread (not truck thread)

Yes I believe the spektrum is the way to go. Thats what I use for the 1/8 hurricane.
Great radio.

RE: "OFFICIAL" Redcat Racing 1/8th BUGGY thread (not truck thread)

I kept my pull start on for emergencies. As long as you make sure when you place the car on the starter box, the wheel is spinning the same way.
Works for me.

RE: "OFFICIAL" Redcat Racing 1/8th BUGGY thread (not truck thread)

You can go as big as you want but honestly I wouldn't put any bigger. Dont think the car would hold up to more power.. Just my opinion though.

RE: "OFFICIAL" Redcat Racing 1/8th BUGGY thread (not truck thread)

Mine did the exact same thing. Both servo's were twitching real bad. Sometimes, even when i hit the gas, the steering moved. I replaced servo's and radio with the spektrum, and not one problem since.
