Although I didn't use the GP tailwheel bracket on this kit, I have used it before.....epoxy is the way to go.

You're exactly right. In every other Great Planes or Top-Flite kit I have built there were reference marks on the firewall. I don't understand why they didn't do it with this plane.

I would doubt that the problem is with the cowls. I still think it comes back to the template used to mark the engine mount position. Maybe it would be worth seeing what Great Planes has to say...

My cowl didn't meet up quite perfectly with my spinner backplate either. But I don't recall it being 1/8" off. I don't think that you could have messed up the amount of thrust built in, this kit...

Did you round the bottom corners of your fuselage enough? That is the only thing I can imagine that would be preventing your cowl from fitting.

If you use 1/4" overlaps it should be fine. Just do what you have been doing and it will turn out great!

How has the CA on the seams been working? Is it leaving a white haze at all?
